Tim PittsFounder and Principal Broker
After growing up in suburban Birmingham, Alabama, I moved to Portland sight-unseen at 23. I was looking for a community of progressive, smart, creative people, and that’s exactly what I found. My Portland is a city full of amazing food and drink, talented artisans, independent thinkers, and stunning natural beauty all around.
I’ve been involved in real estate for most of my time here. After earning an MBA from the University of Oregon, I spent 5 years at adidas, which is when I started investing in real estate. My first home was a dilapidated house off of North Mississippi, and the experience of turning it into a bright, comfortable home was what hooked me on real estate. My husband and I live in a 1955 ranch in Irvington, which we plan to restore into a mid-century marvel…someday. I also own residential rentals and freely share my experience with people looking for an investment.
I founded Think Real Estate to be a brokerage of intelligent, progressive brokers who know and love Portland and work hard for their clients. Think is the most productive brokerage in the state, which is a testament to the strong group of brokers who are constantly helping each other to succeed.
I still work with clients as much as possible. As a listing agent, I draw on my background in renovations and staging to help clients prep their house for the market. I utilize my business skills of marketing, analyzing sales data, and executing a solid marketing plan to get the best result possible.
As a buyer’s agent, I enjoy hunting though houses and helping clients to see the pros and cons of each home in terms of what the client really needs, then working hard to find the buyer that perfect home.
I’ve loved living in Portland from the very beginning, and I am passionate about not only helping people find their perfect home, but also about making sure the city remains a kind, livable place.
