The new Convention Center Hotel broke ground last week in NE Portland. Currently located on NE Alberta St., Great Notion Brewing is expanding into NW Portland with a planned 20,000 square foot brewhouse and restaurant at 2448 NW 28th Ave. This second location will have a 30-barrel brewhouse, taproom, and full service restaurant and is slated to open by the end of the year.

Developer Andres Ochoa of Rogue Development is heading up a project for a new food hall downtown at 827 SW 2nd Ave. The 118-year-old building has been home to a host of different restaurants in the past and will now cater to those living and working downtown. Called "The Portland Food Hall," the space will be occupied by up to eight purveyors - all hailing from Oregon, most from Portland. A new multi-family housing development will break ground on the corner of SW Harrison Street and SW Fourth Avenue in Downtown Portland this October. The 15 story high Collective on 4th building will include 417 apartment units that will range from studios to 3 bedroom townhomes, and will include 278 parking spaces. The developers are hoping that a major grocery retailer will fill the building's ground floor. Read More
