City Council Approves Inclusionary Zoning

The Portland City Council has approved a new city-wide policy requiring new developments with 20 or more units to set aside 20% of those units for affordable housing. The units must be affordable for households making less than 80% of the median family income in Portland, which was just over $58,000 for a family of four in 2016.
