“Portland for Everyone” Coalition Tackles Housing Issues

A local group of activists, developers, environmentalists and other community members has come together to form “Portland for Everyone” – a coalition created to increase density, strengthen renter protections, and support ballot initiatives to fund affordable housing. Modeled after a similar group in Seattle, “Portland for Everyone” held it’s first public event last week titled “Let’s Do More Than Talk: Housing, Land Use, and Affordability in Portland.” Hundreds attended to support the coalition and its discussion of policy ideas and initiatives.
