Thomas and his team are very easy to work with and really know their stuff! They responded promptly to our enquiries, added valuable insight to the market situation in Portland. Endlessly patient with our requests to view properties even with several last minute changes, they would point out relevant details about the property that we would not have thought about. The inspectors, escrow and title company he brought in were all top-notch. We would definitely work with him again!

Thomas is a different kind of realtor - his passion is in helping people buy homes that help them fulfill the lives they want to live, and he puts in more effort than other realtors when it comes to making the process effortless for the buyer. I will add that we have purchased many homes in the past, but this was our first time buying a much older house (built in 1916) and Thomas went above and beyond in helping us understand what we needed to be aware of and what to look for. This was something that was invaluable to us, and reduced our stress greatly during the home buying process. We purchased our home in 2020. Buying a home during a pandemic adds a layer of complexity, but Thomas handled it all masterfully was beyond meticulous. He always came prepared with hand sanitizer and wipes. I mention this because it speaks to his character and how meticulously he approaches ALL aspects of his work. During the negotiation process, he displayed a mastery of both the local market, and the realtors in the area, and always provided us with win-win negotiation approaches. Thomas helped us make our offer in a way that was fair, but that also protected our budget - as it was a multi-bidder scenario. As we found issues during the inspection, Thomas was able to come to a great compromise with the sellers, and we were able to close quickly. Thomas has a wide network which really helped us get things done throughout the process. He connected us with multiple lenders, and we were able to find one that was a good fit and approved us in short order. During our inspection period, Thomas was able to line up an amazing home inspector that was extremely thorough. Thomas also went above and beyond helping us coordinate inspections, meeting contractors for bids, and summarizing areas of concern for us. This was extremely helpful as I was traveling for work. Thomas has earned his place as our go-to realtor in Oregon and Washington, and we give him our highest recommendation.

My partner and I went through the learning experience of a lifetime with Thomas. We were both about six months out from our leases expiring, and we decided to build a house in a development. Our experience with the sales and construction teams of the development we're now in were less than pleasurable, but Thomas was there, ready to fight for us and hold the many parties involved with our transaction accountable. Thomas was always reachable via text, phone, and email and was instantaneous with any and all responses, even after hours.

I don't have enough words to express my gratitude for all Thomas did in handling the sale of my condo. He made sure I had a clear understanding of the entire process, and he managed coordination of all of the vendors necessary to prep the property, since I am out of state. His A+ standards led to me getting three offers, two of which were $25,000 over asking price, in less than 24 hours of listing. Not only was Thomas super professional and on the ball with every detail, but he was also very empathetic to the emotions that come with selling a property. I was busy juggling a cross country move and was so stressed, and he really helped take so much pressure off of me. 5 stars is not enough to show how awesome Thomas is!

Thomas Shapiro has been an excellent realtor throughout our buying and selling process. After nearly fifty years of buying homes and rental properties, I can honestly say that he is the only realtor I would recommend. His knowledge of home construction and the current market is excellent. Thomas not only guided us through this complicated time, he could answer our questions regarding specifics to the home (i.e. siding and roof). The people working with him and the companies he recommended for repairs were excellent. We were looking for a realtor who was totally honest, and Thomas fit that criteria.
